15 AUGUST 2019

Dear All

Apologies to those who turned up to choir last week to find that we had to cancel it at short notice due to illness.  I am pretty sure that this is the first time this has happened.  However, as you already know, there will be NO CHOIR ON WEDNESDAY 28thAUGUST.  Singing was a lot of fun yesterday, I hope you agree.  Next week we plan to continue the good work with We Got All the Love, Balanced Be the Way, Blue Moon, Jesu Ukukhanya, Campfire Song and complete our learning of In My Life, Riverside and I Will Follow Him.  Finally, next week will also be a BADGE WEDNESDAY, so come wearing a name badge – as decorative or as simple as you like – and make some new friends.  (Julia will have sticky labels for anyone who forgets.)

Kirsty Clarke.  It would be much appreciated if someone could say a few words of welcome (2 or 3 sentences max).  If you would like to go and are willing to speak BRIEFLY on our behalf please let me know as soon as you can.

NEW CHOIR CARDS

Michael Bailey has produced a card of the choir singing at Gold Hill Fair.  Copies cost £2.00 and Julia is taking orders.  The cards are also likely to be available from various shops etc. in due course.

DORSET AIR AMBULANCE

Penny (alto) writes: Could you please let the choir members know that they donated £55 towards the Dorset Air Ambulance sponsorship which my grand-daughter, Fleur, was doing with the rest of her National Citizens Service Team.  Their aim was to raise £800 and they have almost achieved that amazing amount!  So – thank everyone so very much for your wonderful generosity!
