1 AUGUST 2019

Dear All

More great singing last night.  Although we have a little bit more to learn, I really feel we have cracked both Riverside and In My Life, so, congratulations are due!  Next week we are planning to sing: In My Life, I Will Follow Him, Down in the River, Come and Sing, Vive la Compagnie and Campfire Song.

If you’re free next Thursday (8th) and fancy a day out in London, I am sure Karen would really love to see you at Synthetica (see below).

Finally, another reminder that there will be NO CHOIR ON WEDNESDAY 28th AUGUST.

Saturday 7 September Singing at Castle Hill House garden party. More details later.

Saturday 14 September  Entertainment for the Shaftesbury-Brionne Exchange.  St Peter’s Church.  More details later.

 … and looking further ahead

Sunday 15 December  We have been asked whether we’d like to join the Motcombe Christmas Procession.  5.00 – 7.00 p.m.  More details later … much later.

This will probably be postponed until early autumn.

Michael Bailey has produced a card of the choir singing at Gold Hill Fair.  Copies cost £2.00 and Julia is taking orders.  The cards are also likely to be available from various shops etc. in due course.

Thursday 8 August Synthetica – a toxic entertainment from Karen and her team.  The Place, 17 Duke's Rd, Kings Cross, London WC1H 9PY. (Close to Euston Station).  See earlier flyer.

Saturday 19 October  Deborah Radford will be holding a choral day at St James’ Church, Shaftesbury.  Let me know if you’d like details.   Please note change of date.

Sue Clifford and Angela King have reprinted their first (green) Shaftesbury Tree Walk leaflet and produced a second leaflet (blue) detailing a slightly longer walk taking in Gold Hill, St James, Enmore Green and Tout Hill.  Both leaflets, which have lovely maps in them, are available on Wednesday evenings and a quite FREE.
