We will be singing (in no particular order); Time After Time*, Hold On, Java Jive*, California Dreamin’*, Funiculi Funicula, Isn’t She Lovely*, Leko Hode Nedo, That Lonesome Road, Up Above My Head, Things*, Isa Lei and Follow the Heron. (Those marked * will be with the ukes)
Sunday 2 December Singing for Motcombe Primary School PTA’s Great Santa Run. 10.30 for 10.45 Motcombe Village Hall. Because of the run, there are going to be road closures in force. Coming from the Shaftesbury direction, please enter the village by the right turn shortly after Port Regis on the Shaftesbury/Gillingham road. There will be a road block, but just say you are in the choir and you will be able to park in the Primary School carpark (just before the church).
11.00 – 12.00 (12.30) Shaftesbury Abbey Garden (30 mins choir only, 30 mins choir & ukes, 30 mins ukes only.) Friday 15 December: 2.15 Christmas entertainment for the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies. Durweston Village Hall.
Monday 4 December: 6.00 p.m. Christmas lights and late night shopping. Karen’s new Christmas round (Shaftesbury Christmas Lights) followed by a massed choir/audience sing-a-long of Deck the Hall, O Little Town, Silent Night, Rudolph and We Wish you a Merry Christmas, all with the Town Band accompanying.

Saturday 9 September: Singing at Stourhead. Arrive 11am (approx.) Sing: 11.30-12.00; 12.30-1.00 and 2.00-2.30. Tea, coffee and of course scones will be provided afterwards. Our programme will be selected from the following (most of which have a seasonal / times of day / nature / food theme): Let the Sunshine, Hold On, Sunshine Fire and Rain, Java Jive, Let’s call the whole thing off, Follow the Heron, Wake Up, Tree of life, Anthem, My Little Cup, Evo Banke, Morning has come, Green Man, Throw It Away, It don't mean a thing, Run Rabbit Run.
Entry is free for all choir members but please bring NT membership cards if you have them. If anyone is bringing along family or friends for support then they will need to pay for their own entry to the property or show their NT membership cards if they are members. Dress code: shades of red.
We have been invited to offer a couple of singing sessions to the staff at Guys Marsh next Wednesday morning (22nd). If you would like to take part you MUST let me have your full name by Monday 20th 4.00 p.m. at the latest so that I can forward it to the prison office in time. We will meet at the main entrance / reception to the prison at 9.00 a.m. when you will need to produce your passport or some other photo ID. DON’T whatever you do bring a mobile phone or camera with you. There is a big visitors’ carpark. After parking your car, follow the perimeter fence to the main entrance. Our sessions are from 9.30 to 10.30 and from 11 o’clock to midday. Refreshments will be provided and we should be on our way home again by 12.30 at the latest. For security reasons you will need to be able to commit yourself to BOTH sessions. (There is no need to dress in shades of red by the way.)
