Lovely to have Holly with us this week and to see some new faces as well. Great singing too of course – not least our rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday dear Julia”. Thankyou Julia for keeping the choir on the straight and narrow. I was particularly impressed with the way “Sylvy” is shaping up too. It is a beautiful song I think. As you know, with people’s holiday commitments over the summer, we are taking the opportunity of visiting a few old favourites over the coming weeks. If you have a particular song you would like us to include, do let me know what it is - either by email or at choir itself.
This coming week, we will continue Bring Me Little Water Sylvy, have a look at Bushes and Briars and Blue Moon (both held over from last time) + Give Me Wings and Suo Gan along with Sithi Shwele/A Yele* (by popular request) and Simply There as warm-ups. Words attached where needed. (*I will put these words on the flip chart.)
