23 MAY 2026

We had a good sing on Wednesday and it was great to see the tenors back to full strength.  As a follow-up to Oak of Old which we did last time if you remember, I’m attaching a photo Linda (soprano) took a few days ago of an oak tree standing among the buttercups.  Lovely.

Next week we will continue The Long and Winding Road (just the final few bars to do) along with For Once in My Life and You are the Sunshine of My Life (held over for a couple of weeks now) + Evening Rise, Dowidzenia (we’ve not sung this for several years), Linden Lea and Follow the Heron together with Up Above My Head as a warm-up.    Words where needed have been attached over the last couple of weeks.    (I will put Dowidzenia up in LARGE LETTERS on the whiteboard.)
